    Short version: Laundry Cycle Timer stores all your data locally on your device only.
    We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.
  

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. The app does not require registration or login.

The following data is created by you and stored only on your device in a local SQLite database:

Timer presets (name, duration, icon, colour, category)
Timer history records (label, duration, completion timestamp, optional estimated electricity cost)
Queue templates and scheduled start times
App settings and preferences (theme, language, reminder options)

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

2. Permissions Used

POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to display timer completion and reminder notifications. No notification content is collected or transmitted.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC — to keep the timer running accurately when the app is in the background.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — to start timers at a user-defined scheduled time.
INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — reserved for optional ad support in a future update (Google AdMob). No network requests are made in the current version.

3. Third-Party Services

The current version of the app does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics, or advertising services.

Future versions may include Google AdMob for optional ad-supported features. This policy will be updated before such a version is released.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any third party.

The app includes an optional export feature that allows you to share your preset data as a JSON file via the standard Android share sheet. This is entirely initiated by you and we have no access to the exported file.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device. You can delete it at any time by:

Clearing app data via Android Settings → Apps → Laundry Cycle Timer → Storage → Clear Data
Uninstalling the app

6. Children's Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
